Valentine Telling Time Matching Activity

Two sets of task cards are included: one set focuses on telling time to the nearest hour and the other set focuses on telling time to the nearest five minutes.

Comparing Numbers Task Cards

Comparing numbers valentine's day math activity

These heart-themed comparing numbers task cards ask your students to determine if the amounts in each candy jar are greater than, less than, or equal to one another. Numbers on each card are written in standard or expanded form.

Telling time valentine's day math center

This telling time activity gives students additional practice reading analog and digital clocks. To play, students match the time on each ice cream cone with the correct clock on each scoop.

Students will write <, >, or = using an expo marker or using velcro to stick the correct sign between the two numbers.

Two sets are included. One set allows students to practice comparing 3-digit numbers in standard form and the other allows students to practice comparing 3-digit numbers in expanded and word form. The perfect Valentine math activity for students!

Counting Coins Matching Activity

Counting coins valentines center

This counting coins activity asks your students to count the coins depicted on a task card. Then, they will search for the coin task card with the same value.

Want to give your students practice with counting bills too? A second set of task cards is included that focuses on both bills and coins.

3-Digit Addition with Regrouping Task Cards

3-Digit Addition with regrouping valentine math activity

Working on 3-digit addition with regrouping? These addition task cards give your students practice with finding the sum of two 3-digit numbers.

Challenge your higher-level students with 3-digit addition word problem task cards instead of the standard addition task cards.

3-Digit Subtraction with Regrouping Task Cards

Similar to the addition set, these 3-digit subtraction task cards provide your students with regrouping practice. Two sets of task cards are included: one set where students simply find the difference and one where students use 3-digit subtraction word problems to solve the problem.

Measurement Sorting Activity

Measurement valentine's day activity with practice using a ruler

For this measurement sorting activity, students measure images of different-sized objects using a ruler. Then, they sort the images into mailboxes labeled by size ( “1 inch,” “2 inch,” “3 inch,” “4 inch,” and  “5 inch”). Your students will love brushing up on their measuring skills and practice using an inch ruler with this fun measurement math center.

Measuring Tools Activity

Understanding the different measuring tools just got even more fun! This math activity asks your students to determine whether the item listed on each cookie card should be measured with an inch ruler, measuring tape, or yardstick. Once they decide, students will place the cookie onto the cookie sheet labeled with the correct measurement tool.

Measurement Word Problems Task Cards

These measurement word problems give your students practice adding and subtracting using different units of measurement. As students read each task card, they’ll determine which operation is needed to complete the problem.

Two sets of task cards are included to aid in differentiation. One set includes multiple choice answers while the other does not.

Valentine’s Array Puzzles

Arrays valentines center

The perfect introduction to multiplication activity for the month of February! These array puzzles give your students the opportunity to match up arrays, repeated addition problems, and rows and columns in one puzzle.

If you have advanced students that already have already moved on to multiplication drills, there’s a challenge set included! This array puzzle includes multiplication problems instead of rows and columns. Easily differentiate your math centers with both multiplication puzzles!

Fraction Matching Activity

Fractions matching valentines center

This fraction matching activity asks students to match each fraction strip – which contains a fraction in number form – to its corresponding candy jar diagram.

For example, “2/4 of the hearts are orange” would be matched up with the candy jar image that shows “2 orange lollipops and 2 green lollipops.”
