What is Teacher Appreciation Week?
Teacher Appreciation Week is a dedicated week each year where students, staff, and the community come together to show their gratitude for teachers.
Some schools ask students to bring in small gifts each day of the week such as flowers or a note, while other schools leave it up to parents to determine how they will celebrate their child’s teachers.
Often the school’s admin team or Sunshine Committee will come up with fun ideas for teacher appreciation too. These ideas allow the school community to show appreciation for employees and all that they do.
Chains and local businesses sometimes participate as well by offering teachers free breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and other yummy teacher appreciation treats.
